Hispanic Heritage Night Event
Culbreth needs a volunteer to plan and organize our Hispanic Heritage Night in coordination with the school administration. In the past we have hired traditional dancers, had great music, and a delicious potluck feast that really brings the school together.

We need more PTSA volunteers for Culbreth!
The Culbreth PTSA needs volunteers for the following key board positions for the 2024/2025 school year:VP Fundraising: Responsible for leading our fall drive for our general fund - a role that is now even more important as the CHCCS district is running a deficit.Secretary: Responsible for maintaining documentation for CMS PTSA meetings and correspondenceThe school also needs two volunteers to organize and support a STEAM day event in spring 2025 that will line up 10 experts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics to provide engaging student discussions on their chosen careers and convey the passion that got them there.
Take a look and see if your skills might serve one of these other important roles for our community: https://www.culbrethptsa.org/ptsa-board

Community Opportunities
Cellphones, Students, and Schools
"As part of the Real Issues, Real Data learning series, the William and Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation is hosting a session on Cellphones, Students, and Schools. This session is ideal for educators, administrators and policymakers at the school, district and state levels who are involved in shaping and implementing technology policies. It is also highly beneficial for parents and community stakeholders interested in understanding and promoting responsible digital habits and effective engagement with youth in the digital age. Use this Google form to register. This is a great opportunity for school and community engagement around the topic of cell phones in our schools, especially at the secondary level."
